Medical Checkup

Today I went for my diabetic checkup as per appointment.As I had been given an appointment at 9.00 a.m.I traveled there at my leisure time.Going there by bus instead of taking a taxi.Of course there were a big saving by the changed.

Bus services today has improved tremendously through the years.Most buses were cleaner than before.Not to mention the excellent air condition .The behaviors of driver of buses seem to be more courtesy and well mannered.

Therefore it is better traveling by buses than by rude and dirty taxis.Their air condition more deplorable,no worth the exorbitant price as they demanded "according" to their meter.

My medical checkup was smooth this time although my appointment was slightly late.I thought I had much time to spare so I took a trip to the ward where I was treated for my Leukemia.

I noted with much enthusiasm of much changes had been changed with plenty of new renovations for the better I supposed.They now have a different room for those going for checkups and blood samplings.

The sick ward were not opened to any body except on specific visiting hours.The entrance door are all computerized. I had wanted to pay a courtesy call on the clerks,nurse and doctors there but the door deny my entrance.Since that was their new ruling there was no point of my bulging in,so I left with slight disappointment.

Fortunately to return in time for the doctor to call me for my checkup.According to the doctor all things were well with me except for my kidneys which appeared to have deteriorated to a low 26%. At least I still have a quarter of my kidneys,not that bad really at my age.I am already sixty-nine.

However,that surely was bad,bad news for me and that it was time I consult with a kidney specialist.Should that be the case,can the specialist repair my kidneys? Or can his or her good advice help me directly to protect my ailing kidneys?.

No big deal really,I am also already effected with Parkinson or suspected of having it because my hands shook badly at times.I had no intention of verifying that fact - just because I hate swallowing more medication.

Apparently after surviving that bout cancer ten years ago,other sickness were now accelerating their momentum to set in due weaker condition of my body.The Parkinson and now the kidneys and who knows what are installed later on after this.Have I to fight them all again and again????

.I maybe a survivor all the way but there are limitations to my strength,nevertheless,so come what may,I will faced them head on.To me death is really no big deal.Having survived it once,I, thus, had nothing to lose any more.

Should that be what the Lord thinks that, it is time for me to go,then I shall go.The good Lord had extended my life for ten beautiful years and to request for another ten would be a bit too much. But that is not impossible with Him,So be as it,as is wished by the Him.So be it.His Will be done.Amen.

Presently,to be able to play with all of my grandchildren would be my greatest achievement.Not too big and not too much.Nevertheless Praise the Lord.

A large section of the crowd of Senior Citizens curiously trying to check out whether their names were registered for the "ang pow".It was said that a total sum of one hundred ringgit would be given for per "ang pow".This was happening during the welcoming of the Deputy Prime Minister.Their main concern were whether their names were listed or not,nothing else bothered them.

Senior citizens waiting in line,waiting anxiously for the "ang pow". Here the one giving out the red packets were rechecking his list of names entitled for the red packet.What a sheer waste of time.These senior folks had to wait for hours in line for the red packets.Making monkeys out of all these senior folks.Checking and re-checking what nonsense for a miserable only $ 50/= in red packet.Some even received a lotery ticket within those packets.Most people were there thinking they would at least get $ 100/= per packet.Nothing but a blatant lie to attract them to that welcoming party.Note many those present for the red packets were not above sixty years of age.The whole idea were never well planned.They were never genuine in their giving away of their red packets.

While the Deputy spoke this section of crowd were crowding over the registrars enquiring whether their names were listed or not for the red packets.The whole place were so messy with green uniforms personals trying to maintain order. But they were overwhelm.Nothing were well planned. Would you want your next member of parliament be like that?.

Taking the trouble to re-check the list.Another tedious effort no doubt.Have they no computers ? Looking through with their slow and stupid eyes.All for a miserable token sum of fifty ringgit for the senior citizens above 60 years of age. .Have they no respect for senior citizens? Treating them like beggars waiting for hours after hours in long stupid queues in the hot afternoon.Those long queues of checking and re-checking with rude R.T. guards in brand new green uniforms shouting ruthlessly at those seniors.Have thet no fathers?.

Another Official distributing red packets in another way.There appeared to have no standards in their distributions.All very confusing to the poor senior citizens.A hundred ringgit was the said sum they would received but where got???. .Only fifty ringgit each for their presence.Some even got the worst of it,only a Lottery ticket.Should they have no intention of giving the red packet do not make a hue and cry over it,just to induce people to participate to welcome the Deputy P.M.

A Freak Windstorm

On the 4/12/11 about 5.00 p.m. a freak wind storm struck our roofing.the awnings were shattered,made to dangle dangerously atop.Anyway it was removed by some workman with ease. Only our house was effected.Nearby areas many broken branches if not fallen trees.

My brother having a first sip of the coconut he ordered and enjoying it."Very cooling and nice",he said thereafter.Very unfortunate I cannot even have a tiny sip of it not that I do not like coconut but I cannot take cold drinks,coconut or otherwise.Actually I loved drinking coconut water.When in the plantations I used to consume a lot of young coconut water.I was quite choosy or particular as I drank only young coconuts with tin layer of fresh.They were the best for drinking.While in Sri Jaya Oil Palm Estate I used to drink at least twelve nuts daily - I drunk these and no plain water.I assure you ,it was very good especially when you were tired.

Brother and son enjoying their curry rice.Wah!!! so much of food on the table.All hot and spicy.Cconut water came in handy.Not for me as the coconuts were iced cold-very bad for me.I cannot take cold drinks.One single sipped will make me cough badly..Anyway I had a warm "teh tarik"thereafter.Apparently everone enjoyed their meals.That restaurant was clean and airy.The food lovely.Yeah with a doubt same food can be obtained else where but the environment made the difference.Of easy parking were another thing nowadays.

House Breaking In Board Day Light

Our Taman Sri Sinar has a pondok "Polis"just a stone's throw away,yet house breaking in board day light are so rampant.

Of late there were a spate of house breaking by gangs of young men in board day light especially on school holidays..Coming in cars or small lorry they struck mostly as soon as the house owner left for some shopping at Supermarket.They calmly walked up to the houses, broke in and carted away valuables at will.

These caught the neighbors unaware as well.When questioned why they were there, these people were quick to quip back that they were there under the owner's instructions.In such cases the neighbors could nothing accept to leave them alone.

That brings us back to the fact of the importance of good relationships among neighbors.Well,love thy neighbor so said the Lord's commandment.Practice it and you would not regret that you did.

Had the neighbor known those were robbers ransacking the house there were nothing they could possibly do because those thieves never came in alone.There were, at least three of them whenever they struck.Alarming them could be disastrous.

Calling the Police could be too late,even our "pondok" were informed they cannot act immediately because they got to refer back to head quarters.By the time help do arrived the robbers would have left.

Then following there begin a long hours of routine questioning by the Police.Often very troublesome and annoying.So agitated so much so,many preferred allowed the ransacking passed away unattended.Absolutely uncalled for bad attitude of the "Polis". Enough having said,but might continue later.
